WHO WE ARE: A Better Scoop was founded in 2009 and choosing the "right" ice cream proved to be a considerable task. We didn't just want any ice cream; we wanted the best of the best. After many tastings of ice cream from various companies, we decided on Working Cow Homemade Ice Cream. Working Cow Ice Cream is one of the only remaining companies in the United States that still utilize batch freezers, use quality ingredients from sustainable farmers across the lands, they use Florida's finest dairy with no bovine growth hormone or high fructose corn syrup in the base mix.
It may seem odd but once you taste one of the delicious flavors, you will understand why we made Working Cow our choice. Our goal is to bring back memories and make memories with the family for years to come. Working Cow proudly serves 600 companies like us and offers over 200 flavors, picking our flavors wasn't easy!
WHAT WE DO: We’re just a small “mom and pop” ice cream shoppe that does things the old fashioned way, we serve out of glass dishes and all of our waffle cones are home made daily. Our employees are always attentive, smiling, and friendly. Our shoppe is bright and is a family oriented atmosphere.

We have several magazine articles published and have won several awards in Englewood. On Trip Advisor, A Better Scoop Ice Cream Shoppe is #1 for restaurants in Englewood and in 2014 we were #5 for ice cream shoppes in the United States, in 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 we are #1 for ice cream parlors in the Forida SW Gulf Coast, and in 2015 Best new business with the Englewood Chamber of Commerce.
